It provides wide range of advanced courses including life science, food technology and biotechnology etc. The institute has got approvals for starting B.Sc Agriculture courses through MIPS - Agriculture Science Department form the session 2016-17 with due approval from Govt. of Odisha . MIPS is fully committed to educate next generation of leaders in agriculture science and also undertake innovation in agriculture education . The curriculum is being prepared by the well known Berhampur University team of experts and academicians

Students will be prepared to get acquainted with various advances in fields and facets of agriculture and related specializations. To generate skilled man power of entrepreneurship and researchers in agriculture, the students will be equipped with breadth and depth of subject knowledge so that they will be able to pursue higher studies in different fields of Agriculture. Different fields taught will be taught like agronomy, plant pathology, physiology, agriculture microbiology, biotechnology, economics, genetics, plant breeding, horticulture, entomology, soil & seed science and many more.

Courses Offered:

B.Sc Agriculture & B.Sc Agri Biotech

Duration: 4 Years (8 Semester)

Eligibility:
A candidate shall be eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Ag.), if he/she has passed 10+2/Intermediate examination in agriculture or in Science (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University securing at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% in case of ST/SC/PH).

Age: The candidate age must be 17 (Seventeen) years of age as on 31.12.2016.

Admission Process:
The admission will be strictly based on merit and through a college level entrance examination. The above courses are duly approved by Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha by its order no. 5M-24-15-IV-28778.
